On December 6, 1999, Mountain Coal Company was served a notice of violation -
CV-1999-015 - at the West Elk Mine (C-80-007.) A penalty of $1050.00 was assessed
on January 10, 2000.
Mountain Coal Company forwarded payment for the $1050.00 on January 26, 2000.
Subsequently, an assessment conference was held by the Divisicn with representatives of
Mountain Coal Company and the penalty was reduced to $150.00 on March 20, 2000.
We would like to refund the difference to the company at this time.
