The Division accepts
the adequacy response. Actual on-the-ground
plans must be completed by August 15, 1989.
proposes to approve
refuse pile ditches
the rip-rap design
your
to handle a
submitted in
implementation of the submitted
The Division's adequacy questions also discussed the lifetime of the north and
west drainage structures with regard to the 100 year-24 hour event. Following
considerable internal discussion about Blue Ribbon's responses and the
topography at the site, the Division has come to the conclusion that both
drainage structures will be removed when adequate vegetative cover is achieved
at the site, and that the adjacent natural drainages will assume any surface
runoff from the site. Thus, Pond 5, Ditch A, the north-side culvert, and the
"V-ditch" which connects the culvert and Ditch A will be removed. Ditch B-C,
the drainage ditch on top of the bend, will be a permanent installation and
will eventually drain to the unnamed drainage to the north.
Notice of our proposed decision will be published as soon as possible. The
publication will initiate the ten (10) day public comment period for the
Division's decision.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Matthew S.
