Since you have not been directly involved, and in order to keep the process moving, I
thought it would be helpful to provide you with a summary of the pending applications and information on their
status, as follows:
TR07-60, Thickener Underflow Borehole (Submitted 05/01/07) -All adequacy issues had been addressed,
however CDRMS was holding final approval pending receipt of an approval letter from MSHA. The required
letter was received from MSHA on July 16th and forwarded to CDRMS. Given delays in processing the approval
for TR07-60, several minor revisions were submitted in the interim, the CDRMS has requested an updated copy
of Map 24, Mine Facilities and Freshwater Systems, reflecting all recent revisions. Signed and stamped copies of
the requested update map were Fedex'd to the CDRMS (sent to Byron) on Thursday 07/19. All required items
have been submitted. so the CDRMS should be able to approve this application.
TR07-61, 6MN Mine Water Storage Reservoir (Submitted 07/20/07) -This new revision was Fedex'd to the
CDRMS on 07/19/07
MR07-216, Fish Creek Ventilation Shaft Dewatering Modifications (Submitted 05/28/07) -All adequacy issues had
been addressed by TCC's 06/05/07 Technical Adequacy response. Given common revision pages between
MR07-216 and TR07-60, TCC had agreed that final approval of the MR could be sequenced with final approval
for TR07-60 to avoid the need to go back and revise the common pages. Approval of TR07-60 should allow
this application to be approved.
MR07-217, Warehouse Expansion (Submitted 07/03/07) -All adequacy issues had been addressed by TCC's
07/16/07 Technical Adequacy response, so the CDRMS should be able to approve this application. Note that
approvals are timecritical, as we have contractors on hold waiting for final approvals.
MR07-218, 6MN Emergency Escape Hoist (Submitted 07/13/07) -Applications e-mailed 07/12/07 and Fedex'd
the same day for delivery on 07/13/07. We have not yet received correspondence on completeness. Note that
approvals are timecritical, as we have contractors on hold waiting for final approvals.
MR07-219, Temporary Office Trailers (Submitted 07/13/07) -Applications e-mailed 07/12/07 and Fedex'd the
same day for delivery on 07/13107. We have not yet received correspondence on completeness.
As always, we stand ready to cooperate to facilitate timely review and approval of the pending revision
applications. After you have opportunity to review the status of the pending applications, please call me to
discuss approval timeframes and any questions or additional information you may need. Thanks for your
consideration and assistance -
Best regards,
Jerry
7/25/2007
