Of course, the roadway <br />would then no longer be wholly on City property. If the alignment must remain <br />crossing the shallow coal mine workings, consideration should be given to <br />spanning or bridging the area of maximum subsidence on a more perpendicular <br />alignment. This alternative appears much less desirable.
