The site is located in the Section 26, Township 1 1 North, R~3nge 70 West
of the 6th Principal Meridian.
The purpose of these services is to provide information and geotechnica engineering
J recommendations relative to:
• subsurface soil and bedrock conditions
J • groundwater conditions
J • embankment evaluation
J ~ earthwork
The conclusions and recommendations contained in this report are based upon the results of field
J observations and laboratory testing, engineering analyses, and experience with similar soil and
slope conditions.
J PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION
The project as we understand it is to construct load-out benches which will be approximately 60
feet wide and 15 feet high. The benches will be constructed on approximately 1 %.:1 slopes. The
J load-out benches will be constructed with overburden sandstone material removed during the
quarrying process to obtain the limestone below. The dip slope on which these benches are to
be constructed is approximately 12 degrees to the east. The top of the load-out bench will grade
a minimum of 2 feet to the uphill end of the slope. The load-out benches will bey seeded with
vegetation and used for drainage and erosion control.
SITE EXPLORATION
The scope of the services performed for this project included site reconnaissance by a senior
J engineering geologist, a field sampling program, laboratory testing and engineerirn3 analyses.
J
