This letter was faxed to you earlier today as well. I am including the Division's
findings document for your files and to aid you in understanding the Division's review of this bond
release. The Division's proposed decision was published in the Steamboat Prlot commencing on April I5,
1998. This public notice initiates a 30-day public comment period, after which, if no concerns are voiced
by interested parties or agencies, the Division's decision becomes final. Since the coal mined was
Federally leased coal, eventhough the surface ownership is private, BLM/ OSM concurrence is necessary
in order to release the bond.
Please call if you need additional information regarding this bond release.
Sincerely,
~ •~
net H.
