Those items
will be considered as priority concerns to be addressed as early in the 2005 mining season
as possible. Colorado Marble, Inc., has contracted with Colorado Quarries of Canon
City, CO, establish road access to the sits as early as practical given snow conditions at
the site. As you know, this is high altitude site with limited access due to snow
accumulation through several months per year, which restricts access to the mine site
from late October through (normally) May. Siacc the time of the fall inspection, access
to the mine site has not been available. 'this year, heavy winter snowfall in the gone~ral
an:a will result access to the site by late May to early Jana Colorado Marble will make
all efforts to get to the site as early as possible ta:
1) Assess and respond to the site conditions regarding sedimentation and erosion
contnil systems that might be cmtployed to control sedimentation fmm leaving the
affected land boundaries of the site. Construction will be initiated as a Y"trst
priority in the 2(105 ticld season to insure that environmental crnrtmis an: designed
and installed to eliminate or minimize: off-site impacts due to sedimentation or
erosion due to sttowmclt run-otf from the mining site.
2) Topsoil storage piles nn site will be characterized for volume, location, and
cotrunon soil characteristics to devise a strategy for handling, storage, mtd
