(EFCI), Southfield Mine, per your verbal request. In addition, detailed
wmpletion data for the rockdust bore hole (drill hole SF-87-06) is included as Exhibit 1.
EFCI has reviewed the limited data available on file for Monitoring Well Nos. MW-8, MW-10,
MW-16, MW-23, and MW-65. Each of these drill holes was originally developed az an exploration hole
and later completed az a monitoring well by Dorchester Coal Company. Records indicate that Drill Hole
Nos. 8, 10, 16, and 23 were drilled during 1978, then completed az monitoring wells during May, 1979.
The selection of these locations, and completion depths, was reportedly under the direction of the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board. Monitor Well MW-65, drilled in December, 1983, waz Gazed
az a monitoring well without available completion records. Available completion data on the above
referenced wells are summarized on attached Table I.
Please contact me if you have any questions or require additional information concerning this
matter.
S~incn~ern(ely,
Allen S.
