(C-81-019) <br />Application for Phase II Bond Release, 1986 -1995 Reclaimed <br />Areas, Response to CDMG February 9, 2001 Technical <br />Adequacy <br />Dear Mr. Walker: <br />• The purpose of this letter is to provide the Division with a response to the February 9, <br />2001 Technical Adequacy for the cited 2000 Phase II Bond Release application. Please <br />find enclosed an updated EXHIBIT 2 - 5.0 SEDIMENT CONTROL DEMONSTRATION <br />with the following information updated. <br />Item 1. <br />The K values listed in Table 6, Page 17 of the Bond Application are weighted values <br />based upon 1) the K value found in the PAP and 2) contribution of it's soil type within the <br />representative study block. We did not utilize RUSLE ver. 1.06 to arrive at this data. As <br />such, the suggested modification of the Explanation/Units for the K values would not be <br />appropriate. <br />We regret the confusion that the two Table 6's may have caused. We have provided an <br />updated Exhibit 2 with the Tables and narrative corrected for clarification. <br />Item 2. <br />The Explanation/Units entry for LS on Table 6 (page 17) has been modified as requested. <br />Item 3. <br />The narrative found on page 17 of the Bond Application has been modified to more <br />-~ expressly reference the information found in the PAP Exhibit 7, Item 13. <br />Using RUSLE vers.1.06 to update Tables 6, 8 and 10, Colowyo has utilized the cover <br />data from the July 2000 surveys of the reference areas and the post-mining areas.
