Previous responses that were <br />acceptable, are deleted from this response. <br />Geoloay (2.04.61 <br />1.E. The Division's original comment stated that the sentence should be added verbatim back <br />into the permit text, if the statement were still applicable. The restated sentence on page 2.04-15, <br />references the same maps and states that the holes were abandoned, reclaimed, or completed in <br />accordance with the applicable regulations -the intended purpose of the original sentence. Map <br />34 depicts the wells and other resources currently monitored, but a few other wells were <br />completed and capped for future monitoring that are included on Map 8. All data obtained to date from the new monitoring stations have been presented in Exhibit <br />19A, submitted last month. At least one yeaz of monitoring data (per MCC's approved schedule) <br />will be obtained prior to longwall mining these new areas. Please be aware that most of the <br />resources in the Apache Rocks permit revision area have been monitored for over ten years or <br />baseline data were obtained in past years. This was one of the primary issues considered when the <br />PR boundary was originally proposed. <br />=~ <br />,_ ..r <br />MCC is concerned with obtaining one year of baseline data in particular for the new, proposed <br />south Sylvester Gulch flume monitoring site.
