Althoug}f''Id ~~~i~.~~
have far too many issues I disagree with concerning D.M.G.'s approval of this TR., [
D Mr H hr'
can't let this one issue go untouched (basic math concepts).
Toosoil Inventory
According to Mr. Smith's figures (1-10), the total area with topsoil still covering it,
would total 389,335 sq/ft. This works out to 8.937 acres. Pathfinder's total affected area
within the permit boundary totals 9.25 acres. Even if you believe Scott Smith when he
states that Pathfinder has only disturbed "4 acres" (visual observation from Hwy 145
clearly shows more than half of the affected area has been cleazed of all topsoil). How
can you accept these figures?
On top of that, No.'s 8, 9, & 10 cannot be considered as topsoil reserves.
No. 8 indicates .6 ft. on an area of 50,000 square R. This is barely adequate for that azea.
No. 9 indicates .12 ft. on an area of 60,000 sq/ft. This works out to 266 cu/yds, not 375.
But, if also means this area is deficient of topsoil in the amount of 844 cu/yds.
No. 10 indicates .33 ft. on an area of 175,000 sq/ft. This works out to 2139 cy/yds, no[
1944. It also leaves a deficit of 1102 cu/yds.
Adding No.'s 9 and 10, leaves a deficit of 1946 cu/yds, not an additional 2319 cu/yds.
No.8 just estimating another 1000 cu/yds, brings the total to 3319 cu/yds.
16,189.5
< 3319.0>
Total 12,870.5 cu/yds
As far as the total square footage of No.'s 8,9, & 10 of 285,000 sq/ft deducting this figure
from the total square footage of 1 - ]0, leaves 104,335 sq/ft or approximately 2.4 acres.
The 2.4 acres plus the quoted (mis) 4 acres of disturbed land leaves a figure closer to
7,119 cu/yds necessary for reclamation.
•

~i ~ ~ r~ ~~I~~`%
~~~q~ y'~-~~~~i
1~0 L~ Se~N~nRN
GO wLt /
'~,..ee..Rle
