Significant slope failures were observed or the east and west walls of the <br />quarry. The Division received your letter on October 23, 1992 requesting an administrative <br />decision from the Division to increase the Limits of the outer excavated slopes of the east wall <br />of the pit and the affected area. Due to the urgency of the situation, the Division hereby <br />approves your emergency request to increase the outer limits of the excavated slopes on the <br />east wall of the pit. The appropriate amendment or technical revision process will need to be <br />followed by Cooley Gravel Company to make the necessary changes to the permit as soon as <br />possible. <br />If you should have any questions, please contact me. <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />H.
