September 27, 1995 <br />Jackson County Board of Commissioners <br />Box 337 <br />Walden, CO 80480 <br />Dear County Commissioners: <br />Pursuant to Title 33, Article 34, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, the Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on <br />September 25, 1995, an application for renewal of a valid, existing permit to <br />conduct coal mining operations, Permit No. C-80-006, by Kerr Coal Company, <br />P.O. Box 487, Walden, Colorado 80480, was deemed complete for the purposes of <br />filing. All reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act and <br />Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to conttnue conducting reclamation operations on lands <br />located in the following sections: <br />Mine Area: <br />Township 8 North, Range 78 West <br />Section 2 <br />Township 9 North, Range 78 West <br />Sections 15, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27 and 35 <br />Loadout Area: <br />Township 9 North, Range 79 West <br />Sections 28 and 29 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />maps of Johnny Moore Mountain, Gould NW, Walden and Eagle Hill. A copy of the <br />application is available for public inspection at the Jackson County <br />Courthouse in Walden, Colorado. Written comments, objections or requests for <br />an informal conference on the application may be submitted to, and additional <br />information obtained from, the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, <br />1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567.
