Exhibit D
Reclamation Plan
The present use of the site is mining. After remining as described in Exhibit
C, The Mining Plan, the site will be reclaimed to Wfidiife Habitat.
Growth Medium
No overburden or growth medium exists for salvage and stockpile during
mining. Therefore, no overburden or growth medium will be salvaged and
stockpiled during the operation.
Grading
Reclamation of the site will consist of the regrading accomplished during
mining. As described in the Mining Plan, the dredge tailing will be removed to within
approximately two feet of the water table. That activity will convert what is an
extremely unnatural topographic configuration (placer dredge piles) into an
essentially level topography that is much more natural to the valley bottom. No
regrading will be done at the end of mining.
Timing
As indicated above, the regrading implemented during mining will, in effect,
complete the reclamation committed to at the site. Therefore, reclamation will be
completed in an area as soon as it is mined.
Revegetation
There is no commitment to revegetate the site.
Reclamation Costs
The original permit application committed to far more reclamation than that
required by law and a financial warranty for that reclamation was submitted when the
permit was initially approved. In March 2001, a Technical Revision was approved
that reduced the reclamation commitment to that required by law. However, the
bond was never reduced. Therefore, this site presently has excess financial
warranty for assuring reclamation.
it is our intent to request an adjustment of the financal warranty after this
Amendment is approved.
8
