Access to the Amendment Area will follow that drive for a short
distance (as in the original permit) then become part of the requested Amended
Permit Area as shown on Exhibit E.
Thickness of the Deposit
The dredge tailing piles very in height from 10 to 20 feet (or more) above the
water table throughout the permit area.
Mining Plan
The mining plan is simply to remove the dredge tailing from the surface of the
ground. Mining will not extend to the water table. Mining will be limited to within 2
feet of the water table. No activities will take place in the aver or adjacent wetlands.
Facilities
Equipment stored at the site will be trucks, loaders, screening plant and other
associated tools required for harvesting the tailing. Stockpiling of various materials
has been done, is being done, and will also be necessary in the future.
Screening
At this time, the only activities will be the removal of the raw dredge material
and the sorting as to size of some of the material by screening. Crushing is not
anticipated at this time. If crushing becomes necessary or desirable, all necessary air
quality and local government (Conditional Use) permits will be obtained.
Schedule
Mining will continue immediately upon the issuance of this amendment.
Demand will dictate how fast mining progresses and mining will progress as fast as
necessary to satisfy demand for the product. The I'rfe of the mine is estimated to be
three years.
6
