Walsenburg bought the Corsentino Ranch on Highway 10 east
of the city and 1 am told they are hauling gravel from this property for use on their streets as well
as some public works projects of the city.
My client's concern is that this pit is unpermitted while he is required to permit his operations.
Would you check and see if the City has a permit or a Division decision that [hey do not need a
permit? Is there a reclamation plan or is one required?
Maps of the area show a gravel pit, but my client does not believe it was ever permitted but was
used by [he rancher and his neighbors for a gravel source. The legal appears to be parts of
Section 35 and 36, T27S, R66W lying north of Highway 10 east of Walsenburg.
Thank for your help. Lct me kno•,v what you `rd out.
Co ~ Ily
Lloyd V. "Buck" Barnhart
Consultant
"YOL'r Brand of People"
