Reclamation Schedule Amendment
Dear Ms. Hammond:
Based on your letter of December 20, 2004 and the copy of the purchase contract of December
15, 2004, which you enclosed with the letter, the Division will proceed with a proposed decision to
approve TR-44. The proposed approval would extend the reclamation schedule for the South
Portal Facilities by one year. The contract provides documentation of the interest of prospective
buyers for the property in its present condition, with the buildings in place. Extension of the
reclamation time frame for the South Portal Facilities by one year would allow time for the
remaining steps associated with the prospective sale. The extension would also allow time for
submittal and review of a permit revision application to request an alternative
industrial/commercial land use, if the sale is finalized.
Please inform us of the decision of Snowcap's Board of Directors regarding acceptance of the
offer, and keep us apprised of other developments associated with the sale of the property and
preparation of the land use change revision application.
