I, ~:ilei2c _ <br />Re: Grassy Gap Mine, Rock Castle Coal Company ~ " <br />Permit No. C-31039 <br />Dear Kent: <br />In furtherance of our discussions concerning appropriate bidding <br />criteria for weed control on this property, I would offer the following <br />for your consideration for inclusion in any bid specification. <br />1 T_!:c contract would be extended for a 3-year period. <br />2, The contractor would recognize that the property is being used for <br />li•restock grazing and therefore would utilize reasonable care con- <br />sistent with appropriate animal husbandry in conducting the <br />spraying operations. <br />3. The bid would be broken down as to the following categories: <br />a. Tractor and applicator per hour; <br />u. Other mechanized applicator (i.e., 4-wheeler, etc.i per hour; <br />c. Operator per hour; <br />d. Operator using hand sprayer, backpack, etc., per hour. <br />4, The amount to be paid would also include the out-of-pocket costs <br />for chemical and any other necessary materials. <br />5. The successful contractor would be required to spray at intervals <br />on the property, depending on conditions, but not more than three <br />(3) separate times in any given growing season. <br />6.
