Box 25367
Deaver, Ca 80215
Dear Mr. Holgate:
Subject: Annual Imppooundment Report: Coyote Dam (I.D. No.1211-CO-09-02838-01)
Trapper Mine (05-02838)
The structural integrity of Coyote Dam has remained unchanged. All appurtenant structures
including trash racks, decant, valves and discharge CMP are in place and operating as designed.
There Gave been no modifications to the structure in the past year.
During the past year, the dam was virtually dry at a sediment elevation of apprrnrimately 6298.0,
unt7 spring runof[ began around the beginning of March, 1994. The maximum water elevation
reached was 63015 feet on March 10, 1994. Water elevations have steadily decreased until the
dam was once again virtually dry at an elevation of 6297.8 on July 26,1994.
The 6297.8 elevation corresponds to bazically, the same elevation (6298.0) at which the dam dried
out last year. A direct sediment volume survey performed in July of 1993 yielded a runoff capacity
to the emergency spillway of 98 acre-feet and a sediment volume of 37.9 acre-feed The July 1993
to July 1994 correlations of the sediment elevations in a dry condition indicate that these numbers
are still representative oCthe existing capacities oC Coyote Dam.
LCyou have any questiotu regarding this report, please call.
Sincerely,
" ark Wehmanen
r.
