Box 25367
Denver, CO 80225
Dear Mr. DeMichiei:
J L5 ~ r5 J ''J :_c ~:
_ ' ~l.,G v U
I ~~
Suhject: Annual impoundment Report: Coyote Dam (I.D. 10. 1217-CO-09-028:+~-t)t) Trapper
Mine(OS-02538)
The structural integrity of Coyote Dam has remained unchanged. All appurtenant structures inc(udine trash
racks, decant, values and discharge CMP are in place and operating as designed. Avery small trickle of
water has dc~cloped in the decant cuiven that be pan after our last principal spilhvaa relea,e in ~lat~'.t. I
believe that the trickle is caused by a small obstruction in the decant cover which we are currently
investigating. In my estimation, this decant leak represents anon-hazardous condition and does not affect
the stability oC the structure.
There have been no modifications to the structure in the past year and we do not anticipate any significant
maintenance of the structure during the current year.
Water level elevations for the past year have Ouctuated from a low of 6305.3 h on 8/1/39 to a high of 6370.0
ft on 9/5189. Average pond water elevation was 6=03.0 ft. Currently, the water Jevel is at 6306.1 ft as of
7r1r9o.
The geometry of Coyote Dam has not changed and there has been no measurable sediment contribution
since our last report according to visual inspection and the annual sediment survey done on 7/25190 at
Coyote. Therefore the current runoff capacity to the crest of the emergency spill remains unchanged at
90.17 acre-feet as well as the total sediment volume in the pond of 15.73 acre-feet.
If you have any questions regarding this report, please call.
~rtN'::;uyr;:;yt,
" e
Sine
T
e
v

app 0 Rfc'. _ ,., .
`c~,~
~
,
j
~~
r
J
~~WtttiartsFl ~ or
r ~o i
l
V
/
~~
~(/
~
~
~ Roger W.
