Cash Mine and Who-Do Mine
Inspection and Integrity Testing Requirements
Personnel view and informally inspect aboveground valves and piping several times per week as
part of their routine maintenance schedule. Any deficiencies or equipment failures are reported
to the field supervisor and corrected promptly. Aboveground valves and piping are formally
inspected on an annual basis. These annual facility inspections are documented on the Facility
and Tank Inspection Report shown in this Appendix.
Any pressurized piping and leak detectors associated with the AST's will be tested annually in
accordance with state regulations.
Buried piping is not uncovered for inspections, but if uncovered for any reason, the piping and
associated equipment is examined for evidence of corrosion. If unacceptable corrosion is
discovered, additional examination and corrective action, including pipe replacement, is
performed.
A non-invasive four-point wall thickness test of each tank or other means of tank integrity testing
will be conducted on steel aboveground storage tanks at least every ten years. Payless Car
Rental will maintain records of these tests for the duration between tests.
Applicable Industry Standards (40 CFR 112.3)
The design, construction, operation and maintenance of the subject facilities aze to be
conducted in conformance with the following industrial standazds or other standards as
designated by Payless Caz Rental.
Facility Component Applicable Industry Standards
Inspection Procedures API Recommended Practice 12R1 -Recommended Practice for
Setting, Maintenance, Inspection, Operation, and Repair of Tanks in
Productions Service
API Recommended Practice 510 -Alternative Rules for Exploration
and Production Pressure Vessels
API Standard 574 -Inspection Practices for Piping Systems
API Standard 653 -Tank Inspection, Repair, Alteration, and
Reconstruction
Inspection and Testing API Standard 570 -Piping Inspection Code
of Piping and Valves API Recommended Practice 574 -Inspection Practices for Piping
System Components
ASME B31.3 -Process Piping
ASME 31.4 -Liquid Transportation Systems for Hydrocarbons,
Liquid Petroleum Gas, Anhydrous Ammonia, and Alcohols
Appendix 1 through 3
