Box 649 Michael 0 ~unp <br /> <br />Walden, CO 80480 Division Drtenur <br />Re: Bourg Strip Mine (Permit No. C-81-021) <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 3 <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 118, <br />Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on December 5, 1997, an application to renew an existing permit <br />to conduct coal mining operations at the Bourg Strip Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All <br />review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to continue surface coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land located approximately <br />5 miles northeast of Walden, Colorado. The permit azea is further described as follows: <br />T9N, R78W, Portions of Sections 7 and 18 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Eagle Hill. <br />The applicant proposes to continue reclamation operations on the mine site. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Jackson County Courthouse, Box 337, <br />Walden, CO 80480, and at the Division office.
