Box 518 <br />Somerset, Colorapo 81434 <br />RE: B-Seam Uverpuraen Analyses: Satisfaction of Stipulation 26 attacned to <br />Minor Revision 5 (MR-05) and C~domm~in`.eri~+$t~m^M~fi~r~Revfi"sf~on'"o'~~'MR~-'Oo.);~I <br />Bear Mine n3, C-81-03s. <br />Dear Mr. Springer: <br />Tne Division has reviewed your submittal dated July 29, 198y (receives at our <br />offices on Au oust 2, 1989) which was in response to ooth Stipulation 20 of <br />Minor Revision 5 antl a commitment assoctatetl with Minor Revision 6. <br />Stipulation 26 required two oeotecnnical samples be tax en from material <br />excavates for Ramp 4 construction. Ramp 4 connects the C seam and the new B <br />seam workings. A commitment associateC with Minor Revision ;6 required one <br />sample to oe collected from material from Ramp 2 which was also developed from <br />the C seam to the B seam. Bear Coal Company has complied with the <br />requirements of Stipulation 20 and exceeded the requirements of the Minor <br />kevision ti commitment. <br />Sample results have been reviewed. Tne results confirmed the conclusions tnat <br />the Division reached through analysis of an earlier sample taken curing the <br />t4arcn 2, 1989 CtdLRD inspection. Tnese conclusions were included in the <br />comment section of the June 27, 1989 CMLRD mine site inspection report. <br />Permanent disposal of development waste in the present temporarv pile wil! <br />require 4 feet of nontoxic cover pecause of high sodium and SAR values (44.0, <br />7.1, 27.2, 31.1, 3:;.9).
