In our
opinion the minimum set back from the edge of the excavation to
the property line, with the dry slopes should be 30 feet. The 30
foot set back is adequate to prevent any adverse affects to the
stability of the existing man-made structures. The rest of the
man-made structures will need to be removed in an as-needed
basis. This includes the internal fences on the property, the
structures on proposed Phase V production, and the utilities
connecting to these structures which will no longer be needed.
Provided the secondary haul road is to be built, all man-made
structures must be accounted for and not adversely affected. No
appreciable geologic hazards, including landslide hazards, exist
on the immediate property. Earthquake hazards are listed as low,
and with the proposed 3:1 mining and reconstruction slopes,
present earthquake magnitude will have no significant effect.
If you have any questions, or need additional information, please
contact Senior Geotechnical Engineer, Gary Hamacher or Geologist,
Kyle Alpha.
Respectfully Submitted:
WESTERN COLORADO TESTING, INC.
~~~- Gem---
Kyle Alpha
Geologist
KA/cc
msa:jobs\2020rep.doc
Review By:
~~ Y ~/---
Gary L.
