Your July 21, 1992 letter suggested that design information for the
haul road ditch and culvert are located in the permit application package. Our review of the
permit application showed that the material was incomplete. The Division is in need of the
following information:
1. Please demonstrate that the relocated culvert and resulting change in hydraulics
of Pond 006 will provide adequate detention time so that the pond is in
compliance with Rule 4.05.2(7). Please submit a revised Attachment 13-4 and
Exhibit 13-6.
2. Please revise Tables 13-5 and 13-7-1 to reflect an increased watershed and
corresponding runoff for culvert F-3.
3. The design calculations in Attachment 13-6 do not appear to apply specifically to
the section of haul road ditch draining into culvert F-3. Please provide the
Division with calculations and demonstrations which consider the watershed size,
peak discharge, expected velocities, and necessary channel protection measures
for that section of the ditch.
Your July 21, 1992 letter stated that since the ditch is in a high maintenance area,
channel lining would not be feasible. If channe] protection is deemed necessary,
please include designs for alternate means of channel stabilization.
4. Please provide design details for the detention basin at the inlet of culvert F-3.
