Mined Land Reclamation
-2-
June 19, 1979
acre-feet on the average. There may be some days in the irrigation season
during snowmelt runoff periods when there will be no demand for water that
would reduce the evaporation replacement requirement. Therefore, if the
applicant would permanently commit the 4.27 cfs and the 171 acre-feet of
consumptive use to the reclamation plan, we would have no objection to the
reclamation plan.
The applicant should also develop a plan for administration of this water right
in the future. The preferable procedure is to have the plan for augmentation
approved by the Water Court. Another alternative may be to develop a plan
through the Thompson Valley Water Users Association as have been done by
similar organizations on Boulder Creek and St. Vrain Creek.
Hal D. Simpson
HDS/SSH:mvf

cc: Jim Clark, Dfv. Eng.
Thompson Valley Water Users Assoc.
