GEO'fECHNICAL STABILITY EXHIBIT
NORTH OF DOUGLAS PASS
It is proposed that the reclaimed rock slopes will be left at a maximum''/<:1 slope
(horizontal to vertical) for a maximum of 30 feet vertical with horizontal benches
intermixed. The average reclaimed slope should be approximately'/.~:1 to 1:1. The BLM
has approved reclaimed slopes at a maximum of/<:1 in this pit as being visually
compatible with the surrounding terrain. The rock found in this pit is presently at close to
a''/.:1 slope to a height of 80-90 feet. The existing slope has been stable many yeazs.
The proposed reclaimed slope should be stable. Some minor raveling may occur, but
should not be a problem at this remote site -most raveling will be contained by the
intermixed benches or at the toe.
~a ~" .,_.,~R
~~ •~ ~' • 2
,,-~i2694W~{=,
2: ,t
,~
1 ~. ~;
~~ rte.. _ v/.u
