concrete pads as well as one building. Following is a list of the structures proposed for construction.
Beside each is an estimate of the cost of removing these features. These prices are based on CDOT
removal prices used for the past year. The concrete removal is based on $20.00 per square yard. The
cost for removal of the building is a lump sum cost.
STRUCTURE DIMENSIONS ESTIMATED REMOVAL COST
Concrete pad for batch plant 45' x 45' x 8"
(225 sq yd) $4,500.00
Concrete pad for steel building 45' x 100' x 8"
(500 sq yd) $10,000.00
Concrete pad for water tank 30' x 30' x 24"
(100 sq yd) $2,000.00
Concrete for scale 20' x 120' x 12"
(266.67 sq yd) $5,330.00
Concrete for silos 20' x 70' x 24"
(155.56 sq yd) 53,100.00
Steel building 45' x 100' 510,000.00
TOTAL= $34,930.00
These costs are for the actual removal and do not include the various "add ons" the Division
uses when calculating bonds. All of these facilities will be located in the plant site area which will be in
Phase 1 (new phase arrangement) on the south end of the site. Because the least amount of gravel to be
mined is in this area, this is the best place to locate the plant facilities.
Effect of Revision on Reclamation Plars: This revision has no effect on the reclamation plan other
than the need to remove these structures. The final topography and final land use is not altered by this
revision.
Map Updates: No map changes are necessary.
Technical Revision tt2 Fountain Colony Pit M-87-171 Page 2 of 2
