PUBLIC NOTICE Energy Fuels Coal Inc. (EFCI), P.O. Boa 449, 1190 County Road 92, Florence, Colorado 81226, has filed an application for revision of approved mining and reclamation plans for the Southfield Mine. The approved Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) permit, Permit No. C-81-014, addresses existing underground coal mining and related surface operations and reclamation activities. The proposed revision, Technical Revision No. 21 (TR-21), addresses permit revisions developed in response to concerns identified during a DMG inspection. TR-21 includes modifications to the drainage and sediment control plan for the Eas[ Loadout. Areas to be effected by the proposed plan revision aze located in Fremont County. The Southfield Mine area is located approximately seven miles south of Florence, Colorado, on County Road 92. The mine area is bounded on the south and west by the base of the Wet Mountains, and Newlin Creek bisects the mine area from sou[hwes[ to northeast. The Southfield loadout area is located approximately one mile west of Florence, Colorado, on County Road 11A and the Santa Fe Railroad spur line. The loadout area is bounded on the north by Chandler Creek, and on the south by Oak Creek. The Southfield Mine azea is located on [he following sections: Townshi~T20S. Range R69W Sections 19, 30, and 31 Township T20S, Range R70W Sections 23, 24, 25, and 26 The Southfield Loadout Area is located on the following Sections: Township T19S, R69W Sections 17 and 18 These sections aze covered by [he U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Rockvale (Mine Area) and Canon Ciry (Loadout Area) quadrangles.
