PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Energy Fuels Coal Inc. (EFCI), P.O. Boa 449, 1190 County Road 92, Florence, Colorado 81226, <br />has filed an application for revision of approved mining and reclamation plans for the Southfield <br />Mine. The approved Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) permit, Permit No. C-81-014, <br />addresses existing underground coal mining and related surface operations and reclamation <br />activities. The proposed revision, Technical Revision No. 21 (TR-21), addresses permit revisions <br />developed in response to concerns identified during a DMG inspection. TR-21 includes <br />modifications to the drainage and sediment control plan for the Eas[ Loadout. <br />Areas to be effected by the proposed plan revision aze located in Fremont County. The <br />Southfield Mine area is located approximately seven miles south of Florence, Colorado, on <br />County Road 92. The mine area is bounded on the south and west by the base of the Wet <br />Mountains, and Newlin Creek bisects the mine area from sou[hwes[ to northeast. The <br />Southfield loadout area is located approximately one mile west of Florence, Colorado, on <br />County Road 11A and the Santa Fe Railroad spur line. The loadout area is bounded on the <br />north by Chandler Creek, and on the south by Oak Creek. <br />The Southfield Mine azea is located on [he following sections: <br />Townshi~T20S.
