As you know we
were mining to the extent that we would expand our permit with the B.L.M. to the west. There was a time
of uncertainty that this would be possible, but we know now that we will be expandir~a new permit. 1
will be submitting a complete revised mining plan shortly but will just address the ade ntments a[
this time. /~ ~'-, : ~
Response [o the Adequacy Comments O'~~iao N~ CO
of 1~`
'fj/4~rai 0/
Comment # I saga,
Your assumptions are correct in that we will at this point need to increase our bond t~ver
reclamation of the existing nearly vertical high wall. Any expansion of mining onto a new permitQbill be
done at a 2H: I V grade.
The North Permit area had once been partially reclaimed. While mining the West Permit we found
an extreme excess of overburden. We determined that by completely mining the North Permit we could
then reclaim it with the excess overburden from the West Permit. Reclamation has been concurrent with the
mining. Your estimate and assumptions far comment #2 are correct.
Reclamation of the pit floor has been partially completed. Your assumptions are correct for the
reclamation procedure.
In regards to a new permit with the B.L.M. we will begin mining immediately upon award. The
west high wall would be reduced to a 2H: 1 V grade and maintained during mining. All boundary limits
would be reclaimed to 3H: I V grades.
Our C&J office is closed for business until January 2.
