Long <br /> Divivon Direuor <br />RE: Marr Strip Mine (C-80-006) <br /> Reclamation Cost Estimate- Bond Reduction <br />Enclosed, please End the reclamation cost estimate for the Marr Strip Mine (C-80-006). <br />This estimate is for the remaining reclamation liability for the mine, not including the 720 <br />Pit Phase I bond release. Most changes made to the 1991 estimate were to reflect 1995 <br />costs. <br />A few tasks were added to the estimate due to recent permitting actions and/or DMG <br />changes in bonding policy. Changes are as follows: <br />Task 2a- "This task was added to move additional material from Bush Draw in the <br />North Pit. This change was approved under TR-13, but there was no estimate done <br />at that time. It appears that topsoil and seeding were already included in the <br />previous estimate, so no new tasks were created. <br />Task 16- Final grading of the reclaimed area was reduced from 186.3 acres to 66.3 <br />acres due to Phase I bond release of the 720 Pit. <br />Task 41- Floodlights, standby scraper and road maintenance was reduced 50% due <br />to work complete at the 720 pit. <br />Task 47- This task was added to construct PD-3, PD-4 and PD-5 as approved under <br />TR-13. <br />Task 48- A cost to remove ditches and rill and gully repair work were no[ included <br />in the 1991 bond estimate. A cost was included in this estimate to perform this work. <br />ter., „,.. <br />In summary, the total performance. bond amount for remaining work at the Marr Strip Mine <br />is $1,410,461.00. Remaining;(iability. for the 720 pit is $1,447,478.00 (according to WHE <br />memo dated 6/13/95).
