Subject CC&V Made by TLg .lob 003-2142 Task 6
Golder Bateman Pond Hydrology cneckea by Data 7/11/2001
~.~.SSOC121>eS
Incl. Contributing Ponds Approved by Sheet 2 of 2
All basin areas, curve numbers, times of concentration, and routing information are summarized in
Tables lA - 1C. HEC-1 model output is in Attachment A. The Crusher Sedimentation Pond
sizing, Arequa Gulch Sedimentation Pond sizing, and BMP Sump sizing are in Attachment B.
Spillway calculations are also in Attachment B.
CONCLUSIONS/RESULTS:
Pond elevation-azea calculation summaries are shown in Table 2. Pond and sump dimensions,
capacities, and spillways are in Table 3. The BMP Sump, Arequa Sedimentation Pond, and Crusher
Sedimentation Pond are sized to contain runoff from two times the 10-year, 24-hour storm. The
Bateman Creek Detention Pond is designed to attenuate flow resulting from the 100-year, 24-hour
storm.
As described in Table 3, Bateman Creek Detention Pond has a design capacity of 1.1 acre-feet at the
spillway elevation and is triangular with a top width of 135 feet, a top length of 135 feet, and a depth
of 10 feet below the spillway. The peak outflow from Bateman Creek Detention Pond is estimated by
HEC-1 to be 90 cfs for the 100-year, 24-hour storm. Spillway weirs have the capacity to carry the
100-year, 24-hour storm when the respective ponds or sump are full. Weir dimensions are given in
Table 3.
1. U. S.
