FiECEE4'E'f3
EXHIBIT Q OCT t 7 Zoo2
Mining Plan Division of Minerals and Geology
Sand and gravel from this operation will be removed by a bulldozer and front end loader,
and transported by truck for use as road base material on County roads.
There is no water present on the property, and no water diversions will be necessary.
The size of the area to be worked will ultimately be approximately 20 acres total, including
the presently permitted 8 acres. The additional 12 acres will be excavated beginning at the
eastern edge of the present pit and working in an easterly direction.
The mining operation will be active on an intermittent basis. Once a year, either during the
Spring (May} or the Fali (Sept), we will crush approximately 15 ton of material. Reclamation
will not begin until the entire permitted area is mined, due to continued truck and equipment
traffic across the site. We estimate that it will take approximately twenty years to mine the
entire 20 acres
The thickness of the material to be excavated is estimated at 15 to 20 feet. There will be no
overburden or waste rock. All rock will be crushed, therefore no stockpiling will be required.
All dirt, sand and gravel will be used by the County on County roads and projects.
Topsoil of approximately 6" in depth will be salvaged for use in the reclamation process.
Until reclamation begins, the topsoil will be stockpiled in the southwest part of the previously
mined area (shown on Exhibit C Map). No explosives will be used in the operation.
