~- <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division has issued a proposed decision to <br />approve a technical revision to the mining and reclamation plans for the North <br />Thompson Creek Mine, Permit No. C-81-025, operated by Minrec, Inc., under the <br />provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. The <br />proposed technical revision (TR - 011) was submitted by Minrec, Inc., on July <br />15, 1991 for the North Thompson Creek Mine. The affected area is located in <br />port'ons of Sections 34 and 35, Township 85, Range 89 W, 6th Prime Meridian, <br />in Pitkin County, and in Sections 20, 29, 30 and 32, Township 7S, Range 88W, <br />6th Prime Meridian in Garfield County. <br />The subject technical revision modified a spillway design for one sediment <br />pond, updated ownership information and proposed removing a previous haul <br />road from the reclamation plan at the landowner's request. <br />Copies of the proposed technical revision are available for review at the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room <br />215, Denver, Colorado 80203. Any person who has an interest which is or may <br />be adversely affected may request a formal hearing regarding this proposed <br />decision. Requests for a formal hearing must be made in writing within ten <br />(10) days of this publication and shall state with reasonable specificity the <br />reasons for the request and objections to the proposed decision. <br />WBC/eke <br />3882G <br />
