• • iiiiiuiiiiiiiiiii <br />Weed Control Plan <br />TECHNICAL REVISION <br />(Submitted [o Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology) <br />Date: May 11, 2000 <br />Mine Nante: <br />County: <br />Mine ID#: <br />DDD Mine <br />Elbert <br />M-84-076 <br />Operator: Robinson Brick Company <br />Inspector: Tony Waldron <br />Dale of Complain[: October 26, 1999 <br />Inspection Date: October 26, 1999 <br />Dale Weed Control Plan required: February 28, 2000 <br />DECEIVED <br />MAY 24 2000 <br />Division of ~IYids & Geology <br />In response to the Inspection Report prepared by Tony Waldron at the Division upon completion of the <br />October 26, 1999 Division inspection, Robinson Brick Company submits [he following weed control plan. <br />This plan will serve as the basis for diffuse knapweed weed control during the 2000 field season and <br />beyond as and if required. <br />Methodology <br />Areas infested with diffuse knapweed within the DDD mine permit boundaries will be sprayed by a <br />contractor experience in these matters. The liquid application will consist of I pint Torden/acre and 1 <br />pound 2.4 D/acre. Currently, during the 2000 field season, it is estimated that approximately 20 - 60 acres <br />will be sprayed. <br />A contractor will be scheduled [o start spraying during late May or early June, 2000, weather permitting. <br />The results from [his initial spraying will be evaluated later in [he summer of 2000 and secondary steps, if <br />necessary, will be taken as required. <br />During the early spring on an annual basis, Robinson Brick Company will inspect the DDD Mine permit <br />area to determine if additional spraying or other weed control measures, such as mowing, are required. If a <br />knapweed problem continues, Robco, will take whatever reasonable steps are necessary [o eliminate these <br />problems. If, for whatever reason, Robco is not able and/or successful in controlling [he knapweed <br />problem a[ [he DDD mine, Robco will contact the Division for further assistance. <br />
