Lang <br />Division Director <br />Enclosed you will find the Division of Minerals and Geology's "Proposed Decision and Findings <br />of Compliance" and the proposed decision documents for the above-referenced permit <br />renewal/revision. Notice of the proposed decision will be published in the Craig Daily Press as <br />soon as possible. The first publication will initiate the thirty (30) day public comment period for <br />the Division's decision. <br />Documentation must be submitted to the Division demonstrating that copies of the approved <br />renewal/revision application waere sent to the Office of Surface Mining and the Bureau of Land <br />Management. The copies should be sent within 15 days of final approval. <br />Please be advised that federal mine plan approval may need to be obtained from the Office of <br />Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSM). OSM approval is required, in addition to <br />State permit approval, before operations affecting federal coal may commence. <br />Please submit additional bond or a"rider to your existing bond so that your bond held by the <br />Division equals or exceeds the "Revised Liability" shown on the enclosed proposed decision form. <br />The revision will not be final until the bond is approved by the Division. <br />If you have any questions, please contact me. <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />Tom Kaldenbach <br />Environmental Protection Specialist <br />
