Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised
Statutes, the Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on
May 4, 1994, a technical revision application for a permit to conduct coal
mining operations by NCIG Financial, Inc., P.O. Box 92401, Los Angeles,
California 90009, was deemed complete for the purposes of filing. All
reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated
thereunder initiate from this day of filing.
The applicant proposes to revise the reclamation plan at the Coal Ridge No. 1
Mine. The technical revision addresses certain changes to the reclamation of
the disturbed site and an incidental boundary revision eliminating all permit
areas which were not affected by mining and development activities.
The Coal Ridge No. 1 permit area is located approximately three miles east of
New Castle, and is further described as follows:
Township 6 South. Rance 91 West
Section l: Those lands in the NE/4 south of County Road 335,
Lots 3 and 4, S/2 S/2 NW/4 T65, R90W.
Section 6: All lands south of County Road 335, a strip of land
approximately 400 feet long and 25 feet wide
originating just east of the gate to the mine north
of the County Road 335 and extending to the center of
the Colorado River.
Township 6 South, Range 90 West:
Section 5: All lands in S/2 SW/4.
Section 8: All lands in N/2 N/2 SE/4, and NE/4 SW/4.
Section 9: All lands in S/2 NW/4, and SW/4.
Section 15: All lands in NW/4.
Section 7: All lands in NE/4 and N/2 NW/4.
Section 12: All Idnds in N/2 NE/4.
Section 16: All lands in N/2 NE/4, NE/4 NW,
in Garfie ld County.
