Walther <br />2505 South Townsend Executive Director <br />Montrose, CO 81401 Ronald w. cattany <br />Acing Division Director <br />Re: Sanborn Creek Mine (Permit No. C-1981-022) <br />Technical Revision Application No. 41 (TR-41) <br />Develop an Addition Degas Well & Pad <br />Deaz Mr. Belt: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, Paragraph 4, <br />of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on September 23, 2002, an application to revise coal mitring operations at the Sanborn <br />Creek Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Oxbow Mining, LLC. All <br />review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of fding. <br />Oxbow requests approval to construct a light use road, and drill site and degas well CBM-15. <br />The Underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately 0 miles North of Somerset The permit area is further <br />described as follows: <br />Portions of Section 31, Township 12 South, Range 90 West; <br />Portions of Sections 34, 35 and 36, Township 12 Soutlr, Range 91 West; <br />Portions of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, all of 6 and 7, Portions North of the North Fork of the Gunnison River in Sections 8, 9, 10, <br />portions of Sections 11, 12, and 17, Township 13 South, Range 90 West; <br />Portions of Sections 1-3, 11-13, Township 13 South, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land aze shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Somerset. <br />The applicant is required to publish notice in a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete. At the time of <br />publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this application at the Delt1 County <br />Courthouse, 5th & Palmer, Delta, CO 81416, and at the Division office. For additional information or to provide written <br />comments, contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, <br />(303) 866-3567. In order for us to comply with regulatory time frames, we request that comments be submitted within fifteen <br />(15) days of this letter.
