4. Proposed revised Map (0, Upper Perched Water Zone, has an incorrect location
for the water zone, when compared to the approved Map ]0. Please revise this
map.
Proposed revised Map 1 1, Lower Perched Water Zone, has an incorrect location
for the water zone, when compared to the approved Map 11. Please revise this
map.
TEXT
On proposed revised page 2.03-16, please reword Section 2.03.6(1) to reflect that
the Federal lease has been obtained and that the permit area and mineral rights are
a combination of private and federal. This text should reflect the situation at the
time of the approval of TR-02.
7. On proposed revised page 2.04-33, it is stated that the Iron Point Gulch is either an
intermittent or a perennial stream. The 1997 Annual Hydrologic Report shows
that station D34-12, at the outlet of the Iron Point Gulch, had a flow of .002 cfs on
October 31, 1997. If a conclusion can be made using this data and more recently
acquired hydrologic data, please update this stream classification.
8. On proposed revised pages 2.04-34, 2.04-36, 2.05-67 and 2.05-70, it is stated that
all surface water from the mine site is routed through sedimentation ponds. Please
revise these pages to state that small area exemptions also treat disturbed area
runoff.
9. A discussion of the impact of mine water discharge and refuse pile leachate on the
North Fork of the Gunnison is presented on proposed revised pages 2.05-74 and
2.05-75. Please add a discussion of the impacts to users of the water after it leaves
the Bowie No. 2 Mine site but before it reaches the North Fork of the Gunnison.
10. On proposed revised page 2.05-84, it is stated that the submittal date for the
Annual Hydrologic Report will be on or before May 30 of each year. However,
the approved submittal date is March 30, as stated on page 2.05-78 of the permit
application. Please justify this change in the submittal date.
11. On proposed revised page 2.05-99, it is stated that the results of the subsidence-
related hydrologic and visual monitoring will be submitted by the end of each
