This detail has been reproduced and appears as Figure 1 of tk::~ me:r.~.
The interim berm, in which [he anchor trench would be located, i; coinprtsed of approxintateiy i': -
90 % rock wittch would create very difficult excavation conditions. The proposed ctlattgt would have
the two FML's tied together by a heat fusion weld with out the anchor trench. This seam will be
further stabilized with a line of sand bags on both sides of the seam. This is illustrated in Figure 2 of
this memo.
The continuation of the new fi0 mil FML, which wi11 be placed over a portion of the existing tailing
and on the new rmbankmen[ slope, will be [led in[o the previously placed 60 mil FML wilt either an
extrusion weld or a Euston weld, Figure 3. The new 60 mil FML that will be placed over [he ensting
tailings and up the new embankment slope will be deployed once the organics and a portion of the
tailings have been removed.
!f you have any question regarding this design modification please due not hesitate [o call me at (303)
447-1823.
J W61~DrfGIO-sMEM+pG
g~
MOUQ•+t~Q..e.
