The minor revision involves modification to
the Temporary Stabilization Plan for the Pit 1 Area (MR-18) submitted to, and approved by,
DMG on September 14, 1994.
Given the temporary nature of the stabilization plan, Kerr has revised the plan and eliminated
the need for the lined channel at the south end of the Pit 1 area. To control erosion in the
south end, Kerr will construct contour furrows on all slopes greater than 4H:1V and reestablish
the temporary diversion ditch E-1. The contour furrows will be closed features established at
flat or minimal grades. Temporary ditch E-1 will be reestablished at the crest of the slope at
the south end of the Pit 1 area. The ditch will divert run-off around the slopes at the south end
of the Pit 1 area to Pond E. These measures should adequately control erosion in the Pit 1 area
until such time as the final backfilling and regrading is completed.
Enclosed is the following:
Application Form
Revised Temporary Stabilization Plan
Please feel free to contact me with any question or if I can provide further clarification or
submittal information that will facilitate your review.
Sincerely,
TerraMatrix Inc.
~._.~ ~ ~
Thomas E Leidich
Project Engineer
cc: George Patterson
Steamboat Springs, CO • Denver, CO • Seattle, WA .Juneau, AK .Santiago, Chile SA
