Please read this carefully so you can avoid these penalties. i, Mandatory Penalties ,~ The Act re uc7 ices a penalty of not less than'$750'per day . Other Penalties In addition to the r~uired penalties, you may be.subject to the £o lowing action i£ you do not correct the violation: ~.. Violation of a court order is contempt of court, and can lead to imprisonrient. ~ 3. The Office of Surface Mining may refer your case for criminal pc-osecution, which could subject you to a maximum sentence of up to 510,000 or one year in prison or both. 4.
