GEMI has posted a letter of cn:dit to the <br />Department of Energy for the SR-13 claim in the amount of $39,000.00 and a for <br />minimum bond with the DMG for $100.00. This is an increase of $17,000.OO.This <br />increase was effective on July 9, 2001. $10,750.00 of the DOE Bond is committf~d to the <br />Ellison Mine, Permit NO. M-78-342 along with a $100.00 bond to the DMG, $5000.00 of <br />the DOE bond is committed to the Hawkeye, Permit No. M-78-311 along with the DOE <br />bond of $100.00. This leaves a balance of $23250.00 of the DOE Bond to be available for <br />reclamation costs associated with the Burros Mine, Permit M-77-297. <br />GEMI requested that DOE recalculate the bonds on C-JD-S. Bond requirements on <br />C-JD-S was reduced from $47.000.00 to $37,000.00. Your recent inspection of C-JD-S <br />states that your current DMG calculation of $21,865.00 is adequate. New cost break <br />down as submitted by DOE on C-JD-S are attached. Reduction on C-SRI S was <br />accomplished by completion of reclamation.DOE bond on C-SR-15 was reducecl from <br />$11,000.00 to $4,000.00. The total DOE bond has remained at $80,000.00. <br />Upon approval of [he technical revision and the completion of the Financial Warranty <br />check payable to the Mined Land Reclamation Board in the amount of $ ] 00.00, GEMI <br />asks that you release the letter of credit in the amount of $13,162 issued to the DMG by <br />Olathe State Bank, dated August 10,1999. <br />"The revision shall contain a provision that in the event the federal land <br />management agency reduces the Financial Warranty, the Operator must post au <br />
