Cole, on behalf of the Colorado Mining Association, presented <br />their comments, regarding the proposed guidelines. SIMPSON File No. M-87-115 <br />The Board found that illegal prospecting had occurred, <br />required the operator to file a Notice of Intent by August 26, <br />1994, secure the Division's authorization to proceed by <br />September 25, 1994, and confirmed the cease and desist order. <br />The Board assessed civil penalties in the amount of $300, <br />payable within 30 days. <br />18. FORMAL PUBLIC HEARING <br />LAKE CITY MINES-LKA INTERNATIONAL File No. M-78-092 <br />The Board denied the operator's request for a 60-day <br />extension, ordered the operator to post an interim additional <br />bond of $10,000 by August 15, 1994, provided the operator with <br />the option of reducing the reclamation liability, contingent <br />on reclamation completed by the August 1994 Board Meeting, <br />directed Division to notify the operator that a violation for <br />failure to comply with a Board Order would be considered at <br />the August 1994 Board Meeting, if the bonding requirements <br />were not met and that civil penalties would also be considered <br />at that time. <br />19.
