As Rocky Bowman of West Elk Coal Company discussed with Mike <br />Ward, stipulations to the Mt. Gunnison Mine permits require thnt we establish <br />a subsidence monitoring network over the first mine panel to b® retreat <br />mined. The permits further stipulate that the network 6e in place prior to <br />development of the panel. Since development of the panel may occur as early <br />as February of 1985, it 1s importanE that we install the monitoring network <br />during this construction season.
