RECLAMATION PLAN Reclamation activities of pads and roads will follow when it is decided by MCC that the drill holes aze not performing their intended purpose. 1. Upon completion of each phase of activity at a given site, all debris, trash, and drilling related equipment, or de-gas housing will be removed from the site. 2. When the mud pit is sufficiently dry, it will be filled with stored soil material and compacted to minimize any settling. 3. A baclchoe and a bulldozer will redistribute material on and azound the drill pad to achieve as closely as practicable the original contour of the site. The azea will then be ripped or scarified. 4. Stored topsoil will be distributed as evenly as possible over the disturbed pad azea. 5. The entire drill pad azea will be re-seeded using an approved USFS seed mix. The following seed mix is an example of a seed mix that has been approved by the USFS for drill sites on adjacent lands: Species PLS lb/Acre Mountain Brome - Bromus Mazginatus 4 Orchard Grass - Dactylis Glomeratea 2 Pubescent Wheatgrass - Agropyron Trichoporum 3 Timothy - Pleum Pratense 2 Arizona Fescue - Festuca Arizonical 3 Alsike Clover - Trifolium Hybridum 1 This seed mixture will be a minimum of 90 percent pure live seed and applied at the rate of 30 pounds per acre. 6. The pad areas will be fertilized (30-0-0, minimum NPK), seeded with the approved seed mix, and mulched (certified weed-free straw). 7. The access roads will be restored as closely as possible to the approximate original contour, re-seeded,. fertilized, and mulched as above. 8. The drill pads and access roads reclamation procedure outlined above will apply only to those areas newly disturbed for this proposed project. Existing roads will be left in a condition equal to or better than that observed on Mountain Coal Company's entry into the azea or to the satisfaction of the USFS representative.
