In response to the continuing review of items submitted to the Division as a part of the permit renewal
process, please accept the following requestlchanges resulting from the most recent Division comments:
1. Page 2.05-3 has been revised to clarify use of the coal loading facility adjacent to the Kern Valley
Railroad. Heading has been changed to read "2.05.3 Operations Description -Five Year Mine
Plan".
2. Page 2.05-3a has been revised. Acreages have been revised to fit the revised mining Schedule.
3. Table 2.05.2-1a (Page 2.05-4) has been revised to remove data showing water usage by Lorencito
Canyon Contour operations in 2007.
4. Page 2.05-13 has been revised: Reference to Map 2.05.3-2.
5. Page 2.05-13a has been revised: References to Maps showing roads has been changed.
6. Page 2.05-17a has been revised: (The 6/16/03 revision was made based on an earlier text dated
9/10/01 but should have been based on unapproved text submitted 10/31/02).
7. Page 2.05-23 has been revised: (See Haul Roads).
8. Page 2.05-26 has been revised to reinstate text lost during a previous revision. The test now flows
to the next (2.05-28) page. Access road location is clazified,
9. Page 2.05-29c. should be figure 2.05.3-14c. Please ignore the request to delete this page in
correspondence dated June 16, 2003.
