Long <br /> O~vision Director <br />Re: Yoast Mine (Permit No. C-94-082) <br />Permit Revision Application No. 1 (PR-1) <br />Provides Life-of-Mine Plans for Mining & Reclamation Operations <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section I I8, Paragraph <br />3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on March 8, 1999, an application to revise coal mining operations at the Yoast Ivtine <br />was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations <br />initiate from this date of filing. <br />This permit revision provides the updated, detailed life-of--mine plans for the mining, reclamation and related operations for <br />the Yoast Mine past the existing five-year permit term. <br />The surface coal mining opetarion is on land located approximately 7 miles southwest of Hayden, Colorado. The permit area <br />is further described as follows: <br />T6N, R87W, Portions of Sections 28, 29 and 32 <br />TSN, R87W, Portions of Sections 5, 8, 16, l7, I8, 19, 20, 29, 30 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Mt. Harris & Dunckley. <br />Because the above referenced permit revision application does not incorporate additional lands into the permit area and does <br />not alter previously approved permit conditions or mitigation measures, we have not enclosed a copy of the revision application <br />for your review. <br />A copy of the entire revision application is available for public inspection at the Routt Counry Courthouse, Box 773598, <br />Steamboat Springs, CO 80471, and at the Division office.
