<br />Permit Revision No. 03 (Lease COC-53356 and New Permit Area>
<br />Dear Mr. Holbrook:
<br />Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes,
<br />the Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on May 6, 1993, an
<br />application to revise a permit to conduct coal mining operations by Cyprus Orchard
<br />Valley Coal Co., P.0. Box 1299, Paonia, Colorado 81428, was deemed complete for
<br />the purposes of filing. All reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act
<br />and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing.
<br />The applicant proposes to incorporate 510 acres of additional land into the
<br />Orchard Valley Mine permit area as a.result of the acquisition of an additional
<br />coal lease (COC-53356). Coal Lease COC-53356 is located in Sections 10 and 11,
<br />Township 13 South, Range 92 West. Specifically, those parcels of land proposed
<br />for inclusion into the permit area include E 1/2 Lot 17, Lots 18-20, Section 3;
<br />Lots 1, 2, 3, E 1/2 Lot 4, NE 1/4 Lot 5, N 1/2 Lot 6, N 1/2 Lot 7, N 1/2 and
<br />SE 1/4 Lot 8, and the NE 1/4 Lot 9, Section 10; W 1/2 NW 1/4 and N 1/2 NW 1/4
<br />SW 1/4 Section 11, Township 13 South, Range 92 West. All development proposed
<br />within the additional acreage encompassed by the permit revision application is
<br />below ground.
<br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of
<br />Gray Reservoir, Colorado. A copy of the permit revision application is available
<br />for public inspection at the Delta County Courthouse, Fifth and Palmer, Delta,
<br />Colorado. Written comments, objections or requests for an informal conference on
<br />the permit revision application may be submitted to, and additional information
<br />obtained from, the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman
<br />Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. Written comments. objections or
<br />requests for an informal conference must be filed at the Division by 5:00 p.m.,
<br />within thirty days after the last public notice in the local newspaper.
