Long <br />Division Director <br />The Division received your technical revision application (TR-11) dated August 19, 1996. <br />The revision was deemed complete for purposes of filing on August 28, 1996. The Division <br />has a few items that need to be addressed prior approval of the revision; <br />'Addition of Sprin,~, to the Reclaimed Rienau #2 Mine <br />1. The Division recently spoke with Chuck Roberts with the Office of the State <br />Engineer, Division of Water Resources regarding the development of the spring. <br />According to Mr. Roberts, this spring will be developed for beneficial use, and must <br />obtain a permit with the State Engineer's Office. The permit can be submitted as <br />spring development or as a water well permit as defined in CRS 37-90-103(21b). <br />Enron also needs to address water rights of the spring with the Office. Please obtain <br />the necessary permits with the State Engineer's Office. <br />2. The surface owner of the lands where the spring is to be located must submit a <br />written request for approval of the developed spring. Please have the surface owner <br />submit a written request approving the spring to the reclaimed Rineau #2 Mine. <br />3. What is the water quality of this spring? Is the spring water suitable to support the <br />postmining land use? <br />4. Please provide the dimension of the excavated area necessary to expose the spring. <br />
